    Robin Tompkins, JD is an influential and strategic business leader, executive coach, leadership and DEI consultant, and board member. She has more than 25 years of experience driving organizational performance and growth, with a specific focus on the corporate, nonprofit, energy, finance, and venture capital sectors. After building a successful career in corporate law and financial advising, Robin made the leap to entrepreneurship to bring her rich business expertise to personal and professional transformation work. In 2016, she founded Olive Hill Global Advisors, an executive coaching and leadership development firm that focuses on removing barriers to promote women, people of color and marginalized populations into leadership positions. Robin is a true visionary who can see the potential in every leader, team, and organization that she works with. She has a special passion for helping teams leverage their unique demographics and diversity characteristics for better collaboration, easier communication, and more vibrant results. She thrives when leading mission-driven organizations that are open to a global perspective and innovative changes. In addition to obtaining her law degree, she also earned certificates from New York University in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Executive Coaching in 2021 and 2022.     Prof. Christian van Nieuwerburgh (PhD) is a highly regarded accredited executive coach, leadership consultant and academic with an international reputation. He is Professor of Coaching and Positive Psychology at the Centre for Positive Health Sciences at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences (Ireland). Christian is considered a thought leader in the areas of coaching in educational settings, interculturally-sensitive coaching and the integration of coaching and positive psychology. This has been recognised through fellowships with the Centre for Wellbeing Science at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne (Australia) and the CollectivEd Centre at the Carnegie School of Education at Leeds Beckett University (UK). He has written extensively on the topics of coaching and positive psychology, with over 50 articles in academic and professional journals. Christian is passionate about supporting people to be more intentional about the way they live their professional and personal lives.     Retreat topic

    Christian will be leading one of the days on the topic of “coaching for alignment”. This will focus on the alignment of both practitioners and their clients. The session is informed by groundbreaking work and research into the use of coaching to foster greater alignment between a person’s everyday interactions and the deeply-held values and principles. It is a process that supports individuals to recognise their strengths and talk about their values before identifying a positive intention for the future. With a sense of that positive intention, individuals are invited to imagine pathways or routes that will help them to bring their positive intention into fruition. Before any action is taken, individuals consider how their pathways align with their deeply rooted values and principles. The final stage of the process involves identifying the effort required to make progress. The day will include some presentation, group discussions, activities and opportunities for practice and quiet reflection.

    Dr. Nelly Nguyen, is a relentlessly curious and compassionate geek who unites a distinctive set of knowledge, skills, and cultural background within one single person. She is known for her complementary work across various disciplines that leads to new understanding and innovation where the whole is more than the sum of its parts. She combines in-depth theoretical knowledge of fundamental science and methodology with wisdom from contemplative disciplines as well as profound experience in coaching, leadership and change facilitation. With a scientific background in sports and performance science, education, and physics, leadership experience in management consulting, and coaching certificates in advanced positive psychology coaching, her ambition is to contribute to her professional field by initiating think tank communities and mastermind conversations. Two key elements of her work are ‘reflective practice’ and ‘play’ that allow for insight, learning, and growth. She helps individuals, families, organizations, and communities flourish – particularly those who feel different or excluded – by offering thought leadership, coaching, education, edutainment and creative learning experiences that empower people to build the skills they need in order to live an authentic, resilient, value-driven, meaningful, and intentional life.     Nell will be leading one of the workshop days on the topic of “Buddhist Wisdom meets Positive Psychology Coaching". With her you will dive into the intersection of coaching, positive psychology, and the ancient tradition and culture of Zen Buddhism that is drawing increasing interest in research and application. In this rich space we will explore how long-standing Buddhist practices can inform and complement our understanding of coaching and well-being. Nell will demonstrate how the wisdom and traditions of Buddhism provide well-being and coaching frameworks and how we can apply these in individual coaching, group coaching, leadership, peer-support, and supervision. At the heart of her coaching model is the transformational conversation that turns the usual iceberg model of coaching with goals and performance on the surface and learning and growth below the surface of the water upside down. The day will include talks, group discussions, and opportunities for practice and reflection.
